All adults in Mauritius applying for a new passport must lodge their application in person and present originals of all supporting documents required.

Children under the age of 16 are not required to attend the appointment. A parent/ guardian must attend all child appointments for first-time applicants. Passport renewals for children under 16 can be done by mailed in applications.

To be signed in front of consular officer - An Australian High Commission official can witness a client's signature on a document and stamp the document with the High Commission seal. This does not include witnessing signatures on passport applications.
